AMI Gaber - Pretoria
Background
After years of operating in Israel, Italy, Iran, the Philippines,
Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Malawi and South
Africa on a large scale, designing and installing irrigation systems,
he is now operating from Pretoria. For the last number of years
he dedicated his time and expertise to the design and installation
of Garden Irrigation Systems. Born and trained in Israel, where
water resources are limited and effective application of water is
a science, Ami brought with him the Israeli experience with which
a cost effective and garden friendly system is implemented.
Equipment
Drippers and solenoid valves are imported from
Israel. Sprinklers (pop-ups, shrub heads etc.) and irrigation controllers
are from the USA. Pipes, pipe fittings, risers etc. are made in
South Africa.
Activities
Irrigation systems for domestic gardens, shopping centers, Embassies,
in the Pretoria area. Major part of our installations are in Pretoria
East, Centurion and Midrand. In addition to new irrigation installations,
we specialize in repairs and maintenance of existing irrigation systems.
Alon Gaber - Johannesburg
Background
After graduating from high school in Israel and serving as an officer
in the Israeli army, Alon moved to South Africa and studied Agriculture
at the University of Natal. He started his irrigation career as the
Purchasing Manager of a large farm irrigation company in Natal in
1989. In 1990, Alon purchased a small garden irrigation company (Irriplan
Irrigation), specialising in the design and installation of garden
irrigation systems. He also designed a range of domestic DIY home
irrigation and garden irrigation kits for retail to nurseries in Kwa-Zulu
Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Eastern Cape. In 2000, Alon worked
abroad in an intensive desert farm in Israel for a year. He grew vegetables
for export in green houses and net houses using drip irrigation. Alon
then returned to South Africa at the end of 2000, and resumed his
garden irrigation business (Irriplan Irrigation) and moved it to Johannesburg
(2001), where he now continues his business and expertise in design,
installation, repair and maintenance of garden irrigation in collaboration
with landscape architects.
 Equipment
All pipes and equipment is purchased from reputable, established
importers that provide a "no- questions-asked" back- up service.
Drippers and solenoid valves are imported from Israel. Sprinklers
(pop-ups, shrub heads etc.) and irrigation controllers are from
the USA.
Activities
Irrigation systems for domestic gardens, shopping centers, mist cooling
systems for restaurants and patios, drip irrigation for pots, atriums
and greenhouses, balcony gardens etc. The majority of our installations
are between Johannesburg and Midrand. In addition to new irrigation
installations, we specialise in repairs and maintenance of existing
irrigation systems.
Irrigation Maintenance Agreements -
Pretoria & Johannesburg
We service corporate and domestic irrigation systems by means of maintenance
agreements. We conduct a thorough inspection of the system twice a
month, repair leaks, clean and adjust nozzles and check the controller
(timer) program to ensure that the irrigation program is correct for
the season. Dry spots are corrected.
The maintenance agreement also includes an emergency call response
of 24 hours.
